Garage door weather seal replacement.

Worn bottom seals and perimeter weatherstripping can leave visible gaps. Choosing the right repair starts with distinguishing seal wear from door alignment or drainage problems.

Signs to describe.

  • Cracked or missing bottom seal
  • Daylight around a closed door
  • A damaged seal retainer or uneven floor gap

A better seal starts with the right fit.

Bottom seals fit into a particular retainer profile, while perimeter weatherstripping meets the sides and top of the opening. Door width, the existing retainer and how the door meets the floor determine suitable options. A universal strip will not resolve every gap.

A sloping floor, uneven door, damaged section or water entering from outside can require a different solution. Describe where the gap appears and whether the problem occurs during rain. Weather seals can reduce unwanted gaps but should not be presented as a guarantee against flooding or pests.

When you contact Nesenko, include your community or ZIP code, the current door position and what changed. Your request starts a discussion of the problem, coverage and availability. Proposed repairs, compatible parts and scope should be explained before work is approved.

Questions about this repair.

Will a new seal stop all water entry?

No. Surface drainage and the floor or threshold condition can also allow water into a garage.

Are all bottom seals interchangeable?

No. Retainer profiles and door dimensions vary.

Is a side gap always a weatherstrip problem?

Not always. Track alignment and the door position should also be considered.
